Ir pagājis gads kopš ir palaista jaunākā versija no IE – IE7. To jau sāk lietot ļoti daudz cilvēki, tobiš, apgreidojas no IE6:

According to internal Microsoft research based on data from Visual Sciences Corporation, there are over 300 million users are experiencing the web with IE7. This makes IE7 the second most popular browser after IE6. IE7 is already #1 in the US and UK, and we expect IE7 to surpass IE6 worldwide shortly.

Internet Explorer 7 arī ir bijis mazāk lāpīts nekā IE6:

According to a vulnerability report published today, IE7 has fewer vulnerabilities than previous versions of IE over the same time period. What’s more, the report showed that IE7 had both fewer fixed and unfixed vulnerabilities in the first year than the other browsers we compared.

Nu redz kā, vēl atceros, ka pirms gada visi nolika IE7, nelietos utt, bet redz kā lieto ;)

Ir paziņota jaunā Explorera nosaukums, tas ir neticams, vienkārši lieliski – Internet Explorer 8 :) Joku līmenī ir ticis apspriests arī citi nosaukumi:

IE 7+1
IE VIII
IE 1000 (think binary)
IE Eight!
iIE
IE for Web 2.0 (Service Pack 2)
IE Desktop Online Web Browser Live Professional Ultimate Edition for the Internet (the marketing team really pushed for this one ;-)
Ie^2.079 (we might still use this for the Math Major Edition)

Redz cik oriģināli, šis paziņojums nozīmē tikai vienu, ka oficiāli ticis pateiks, ka microsofts izstrādā arī nākamo Internet Explorer versiju.
